About
Follow along with the adventures of Skipper Wilson as he sails his boat, the Great American III, around the world in a sailing race called the Vendée Globe. He and 29 other sailors will travel around the world starting November 9, and their journey will take them three or four months to complete.
While at sea, Skipper Wilson will write something up almost every day and upload it to his website with pictures, videos, and lots of information about his health, his location, and his boat. Two or three times a week, we’ll share in the blog some of the interesting science-related snippets from what he’s written and look at them in more depth. You can expect to hear about all sorts of things, from boats to asthma to fish, on this site.
Who are we, you ask? We’re the folks behind Science NetLinks, which is part of AAAS, the largest science organization in the world. Science NetLinks also creates science education content for Thinkfinity, where you, your teachers, and your folks can find all sorts of fun learning material.
